Ajax Comments

The Ajax Comments Addon lets visitors post a comment without a page reload. When a visitor posts a comment, the comment list updates in place and the page stays where it is. If WordPress rejects the comment, the error shows above the comment form.

Requirements

• SiteOrigin Premium
• A SiteOrigin theme that supports the addon: SiteOrigin Corp, SiteOrigin North, SiteOrigin Unwind, Vantage, Origami or Influence.

Go to SiteOriginPremium Addons, click Theme Addons and activate Ajax Comments.

Usage

The addon has no settings of its own. When it is active, it works on the comment form of each single post, page or other content that has comments open.

• The addon doesn’t change product reviews on WooCommerce product pages.
• The browser checks the required fields before the comment is sent.
• An error, for example “Duplicate comment detected”, shows above the comment form for two seconds.

The addon’s on and off state is a setting of your theme. When you click Activate or Deactivate, SiteOrigin Premium changes that setting. Some themes also show it in their own settings. For example, in SiteOrigin Corp, go to AppearanceCustomize > Theme Settings > Blog > Ajax Comments.
