Installing SiteOrigin Premium

SiteOrigin Premium is a WordPress plugin. You download it from your SiteOrigin dashboard as a ZIP file, then upload it to your site like any other plugin.

Download SiteOrigin Premium

  1. Log in to your SiteOrigin dashboard. The Downloads tab opens.
  2. Find SiteOrigin Premium in the Product column.
  3. In the Files column, click the file link, for example siteorigin-premium.1.79.0. Your browser saves the ZIP file.

Do not unzip the file. WordPress installs the ZIP file as it is.

Install and Activate the Plugin

  1. In your WordPress admin, go to PluginsAdd Plugin.
  2. Click Upload Plugin at the top of the page.
  3. Click Choose File and select the SiteOrigin Premium ZIP file.
  4. Click Install Now.
  5. When WordPress shows “Plugin installed successfully.”, click Activate Plugin.

If WordPress says “This plugin is already installed.”, you are updating an existing copy. See Updating SiteOrigin Premium.

After activation, the SiteOrigin menu shows in your admin menu. It includes Premium Addons and Premium License. The Plugins list also shows Addons and License links under SiteOrigin Premium.

Free Plugins That Addons Need

Most addons extend a free SiteOrigin plugin: Page Builder by SiteOrigin or the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle. You do not need both plugins to install SiteOrigin Premium. Install the free plugins that your addons need. Check each addon’s documentation page for what it needs.

When you activate an addon, SiteOrigin Premium also activates the plugins and widgets that the addon needs, if they are installed and you can activate plugins.
