SiteOrigin Corp is a free business theme. It works best with Page Builder and the Widgets Bundle.

Requirements

Install Corp

  1. Go to AppearanceThemes and click Add Theme.
  2. Type SiteOrigin Corp in the search field.
  3. Click Install on the SiteOrigin Corp card, then click Activate.

To install a zip file instead, click Upload Theme, choose the zip file and click Install Now. Then click Activate.

After you activate Corp, WordPress shows a notice with a Learn About SiteOrigin Corp button. It opens AppearanceAbout SiteOrigin Corp, which links to this documentation.

Install the Plugins You Need

Corp does not ask you to install any plugin. Add the ones you want:

  1. Go to PluginsAdd Plugin.
  2. Search for Page Builder by SiteOrigin or SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle, click Install Now, then click Activate.

Page Builder and the Widgets Bundle work with any theme. They keep working if you change theme later. For other plugins that Corp supports, see Integrated Plugins.

Open the Customizer

Go to AppearanceCustomize. Corp adds two panels:

  • Theme Settings holds the Corp settings for the header, navigation, typography, blog, pages, sidebar and footer. See Theme Settings.
  • Page Template Settings sets the layout for the blog page, archives, search results and the 404 page. See Page Template Settings.

WordPress adds its own panels too. Site Identity holds your logo, site title and tagline. Colors and Background Image change the page background. Menus and Widgets manage your menus and widget areas. Click Publish to save your changes.

Set Up Your Site

  1. Add your logo. See Logo.
  2. Create your menu. See Menus.
  3. Build your home page. See Demo Home Page.
  4. Add widgets to the sidebar and footer. See Widget Areas.
  5. Choose the page layout for each page. See Page Settings.
