Theme Settings

The Theme Settings panel in the Customizer holds the Unwind settings for the logo, fonts, header, menu, sidebar, blog and footer. Go to AppearanceCustomizeTheme Settings to open it; each section has its own page in this documentation.

Sections

  • Branding: logo, retina logo, site description, accent colors and, with SiteOrigin Premium, the SiteOrigin footer link.
  • Fonts: details, main and headings fonts, and the light, medium and dark text colors.
  • Header: header design (where the menu sits), social icons, header padding and bottom margin.
  • Navigation: menu search, sticky menu, mobile menu breakpoint, post navigation and the scroll to top button.
  • Icons: your own images for the mobile menu, fullscreen search, menu search and close search icons.
  • Layout: the side of the main sidebar.
  • Blog: the posts slider, featured images, blog archive layout, post content and excerpts, post details, related posts, the author box and the search fallback image.
  • Footer: footer text, privacy policy link, footer width, padding and top margin.
  • WooCommerce: product gallery, products per row, the Quick View and Add to Cart buttons, the mini cart and the shop sidebar position. This section shows only when WooCommerce is active.

Other Customizer Settings

  • Page Template Settings sets the layout of the blog page, archives, search results, the Shop page and the 404 page. See Page Template Settings.
  • Site Identity holds the site title, tagline and site icon. Unwind uses its Logo only when the Logo in Branding is empty.
  • Colors sets the page background color (default #ffffff). Background Image adds a background image.
  • Menus, Widgets, Homepage Settings and Additional CSS come from WordPress. See Menus, Widget Areas and CSS Snippets.

How Settings Work

  • Color, font, padding and margin fields update the preview as you change them; other fields reload the preview. Click Publish to save.
  • WordPress saves these settings for Unwind only, so a child theme starts with the defaults; see Child Theme.
  • Display SiteOrigin Attribution in Branding shows an Available in Premium button. To remove the footer link, activate the No Attribution Addon in SiteOrigin Premium.
