The Icons section replaces four of North’s built-in icons with images from your Media Library. Go to AppearanceCustomizeTheme SettingsIcons. Leave a field empty to keep North’s icon.

Mobile menu icon
Replaces the three-line icon of the mobile menu button. The button shows on screens at or below the Menu Breakpoint in Responsive. Default: none.

Masthead search icon
Replaces the search icon in the header menu. It shows when Menu search is on in Navigation. North shows it at 16 x 16 pixels. Default: none.

Close search bar icon
Replaces the icon that closes the header search bar. North shows it at 24 x 24 pixels. Default: none.

Scroll to top icon
Replaces the arrow in the scroll to top button. It shows when Scroll to top is on in Navigation. North shows it at 24 x 24 pixels, and at 16 x 16 pixels on screens 600 pixels wide or less. Default: none.

SVG Icons

WordPress does not accept SVG uploads by default. To use SVG icons, install a plugin that adds SVG support, for example SVG Support:

  1. Go to PluginsAdd Plugin.
  2. Search for SVG Support, then click Install Now and Activate.
  3. Upload your SVG icons in the Icons section.
  • Navigation to turn the search and scroll to top buttons on or off.
  • Responsive for the mobile menu colors and breakpoint.
