Contact Form widget now sending unrendered HTML in email

Ever since a recent plugin update (now at version 2.16.14), the SiteOrigin Contact Form widget now sends unrendered HTML, whereas it did not do that before the update. Example email: Any ideas, anyone?

Hi, I’m unable to customise my website that is using the Vantage theme. When I select “Apperance/Customise”, the window that opens is blank: no options available. WordPress 6.0 installed, Vantage Version: 1.19.12. I’ve deactivated all plugins with no change.
