I continue to get updates from siteorigin even after removing the plugin. one update did damage to my site. I’ve read about how to remove the widget but I’m not at all clear on those coding instructions. Hoping I can get simple instructions to remove the widget.

I am using Moesia theme from aThemes (www.mccinternalmedicine.org) and when I change anything to the homepage the header image and social section have annoying, obtrusive black spaces added to the sides. Does anyone know why? AThemes support indicated this was an intentional look by SiteOrigin.
