Question on SiteOrigin Image Grid

I wonder why this widget doesn't have the option to open URL in new window, just like SiteOrigin Slider does. On the other hand, having the option to assign a Title on the Slider like we have on the ImageGrid would be of much help when we want to update/change the slider.

Three or four rows with a maximum of four hexes in a row would be enough. What you see in the picture is a top row with three images and a bottom row with two columns and padding-left/right: 35%. Is there a way of creating such pattern via css or any other method.
