Theme SiteOrigin North BuddyPress

I very much like North, but it doesn’t layout BuddyPress elements very well especially on a mobile device. Are there any suggestions for configuring the CSS to layout the BuddyPress and BBPress elements more elegantly. Has anyone done this? Thank you.
