All of SiteOrigin’s premium themes are currently sold directly through the WordPress admin. Our upgrade or purchase procedure is as follows:
1. Login to your self-hosted WordPress.org installation.
2. If you don’t yet have one of our themes installed, head to Appearance > Themes > Add New and search for the theme you’re looking for, like Vantage for example. Install the free version available there.
3. If you’re happy with the free version and would like to check the premium offering and upgrade, head to Appearance > Premium Upgrades.
4. From that page you’ll have the opportunity to upgrade or enter your order code if you have one already. You’ll have the choice of paying from your PayPal account or using your credit card to pay via PayPal. If you live in a country where there are issues with this, drop us a mail on [email protected] and we’ll send through our alternative payment link.
5. We operate on “pay what you want” model. Regardless of what you pay, the purchase is once off and you’ll receive updates for the lifetime of the theme as well as email support.
6. Once you’ve upgraded please check your purchasing PayPal email address. Your order number will be emailed there, input your number and your upgrade from free to premium will commence. Please be sure to check your Spam folder if you don’t receive your order number. If you’re unable to access your PayPal email address please mail us at [email protected] and we’ll update your order and send through your order number manually.
7. If you need to retrieve your order number in the future you can use this form: https://siteorigin.com/orders/. Your order number is also stored within WordPress under Settings > General if you have your SiteOrigin theme activated.

That unfortunately doesn’t look like an order number. Your confirmaton email would have been sent through to your PayPal email address. If you haven’t received it at that address or don’t have access to that address, please email me on [email protected]. I am attempting an upgrade as well but when the paypal page opens it doesn’t allow scrolling, so I’m unable to log on as paypal customer. It only presents the fields for signing up as a new account holder.

It depends which theme you’re referring to. If you’re checking out Vantage for example, then yes, all those variables can be changed in the Premium Customizer.

I’m sure we’ll adapt our model as the year moves on. We’ve historically only pushed premium versions from within WordPress as we prefer users to be happy and comfortable with our free versions before considering the premium offering.
Our premium licenses cover a single production site and unlimited testing sites. The premium order number will enable update for the premium theme.
You can use our premium themes in any way you like.
Unfortunately no affiliate program at the moment.

If you are a premium customer inserting your order number will ensure your thread is prioritised. It’s not a required field but important to fill in if you’re a premium theme user.

Unfortunately, (presumably) Vantage Premium will not be for sale again. SiteOrigin Premium will however include Vantage Premium (as well as many other highly desired features) so that will be the only method to get Vantage Premium in the future.
SiteOrigin Premium will be released either later this week or sometime next week, although this is subject to change.

By following a great and easy to understand Youtube tutorial by Andrew Allen (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6RJaREKVnDA) I was able to create a website that I like using the Vantage theme. A great theme by the way. Except I have two issues: I have not been able to move the main menu under the custom header, and I have not been able to add a custom footer or modify the footer.
Does the premium version of Vantage theme resolve those issues? If I decide to purchase the premium version, do I pay only once or is it a subscription based?

I followed the instructions on upgrading to a premium version and I dont see any option in the Appearance >
to upgrade. I just installed the Vantage theme a few days ago.
I noticed that in the free version the Menu for the mobile site doesnt include the expandable hamburger menu bar instead it shows all the pages. does the premium version have a different mobile version site?

If you’re using Vantage version 1.5 the mobile menu is now included. You can check the version number from Appearance > Themes, hover over the Vantage screenshot and click theme details.

If you have a premium code for Vantage and you wish to use it you’ll need to downgrade your theme. Please navigate to WP AdminAppearanceThemes and change to a non-Vantage theme, and then delete Vantage. Then go to Add NewUpload Theme and upload and activate this version of Vantage. To clarify, this version is 1.4.4.
Please then navigate to WP AdminAppearanceVantage Premium and click, Already Purchased? and follow the prompts.
I figured out the problem. by default in the Customizing ▸ Theme Settings > Navigation
the mobile menu check box is checked, however this doesnt work until you uncheck it and then check it. then it activates it.
I created a New Thread but before you could reply to it I already figured it out. however, I was not able to reply in the New Thread to update the issue.. I’m assuming you have to approve the New Thread first so I just replied here.

Responsive is in the free version now. There was a bug with this setting as it got migrated from the old settings page Appearance > Theme Settings to the Customizer, Appearance > Customize > Theme Design. The setting is a text field instead of a checkbox. We’ve resolved the problem and are due to push updates to most of our themes, including Focus, tomorrow.

Hi,i purchased Vantage Premium theme 2 years ago and need fresh install. I can’t find the way around to register premium theme with ID key I have received at the purchase. In WP Customize – Theme Settings – SiteOrigin premium only gives me link to Find Out More on your website. But no info on that issue.

Summary: We’re still supporting Vantage Premium and updating it. However, you can no longer upgrade to it from Vantage Free as you could before. That functionality has been replaced by our new plugin, SiteOrigin Premium that covers all of our products.
To retrieve the Vantage Premium ZIP you can use: Page: Retrieve Your Theme Order Numbers. You’ll need access to your purchasing PayPal email address. Alternatively, please, email me on [email protected] and I’ll assist from there.
