Remove image border and white spaces?

Hello,

I have annoying lines around the graphics/images I have added using SiteOrigin Image.
Also, there are differing sizes of white spaces between the rows, which is ugly.

I have activated SiteOrigin CSS Editor, but can’t work out how to make the changes using it.

Can anyone help please. We’re on Vantage theme.

Thanks, Aleida

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Aleida

    Thanks for reaching out.

Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at what’s going on?

  2. 6 years, 2 months ago Al Stro

    Hi,

Thanks for the swift reply :-)

the page I am referring to is one which I am currently building in the CSM and is hidden. I have just updated the theme to the latest version and some of the issues I had have been fixed:
    1. lines around images have gone
    2. Button design is now customisable.

So the only thing I need to sort out is the Space between the rows.

I can’t send you a screengrab on here can I?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Aleida

Glad to hear you’re making progress. You can adjust the space between rows by editing the row, click Layout on the right and setting the bottom margin value.

    Thanks that’s great. Solved.

On another note… I have updated PHP and Vantage theme and now the website style menu is displaying live in the tablet and mobile view as well as the usual.

How can I resolve this, please?

    Thanks.

    Hi, I Work Here

Is that happening live or just in the Customizer?

  6. 6 years, 2 months ago Al Stro

    Hi,

It's happening live. The nav is covering half the screen on the mobile. Can
    I hide it?

    Hi, I Work Here

It’s hard to say definitively without inspecting the issue. It could be a plugin conflict. Try testing with all non-SiteOrigin plugins deactivated.

Thanks Andrew, a friend helped me t resolve this issue :-)

I now need to remove the page title and instead place it over an image instead.

As the site is build on the theme, can I do this in Site Origin CSS editor instead? If yes, how do I do this?

    Hi, I Work Here

You could add text over an image using the SiteOrigin Hero widget. Some themes have page settings to remove the page title. If not, you can use SiteOrigin CSS to hide the page title by setting display to none.

    Hi Andrew,

thanks for the reply. I am using Vantage theme.

    1. I tried using a hero widget and it didn't work. It made the image huge and then I could not find a way to position the text where I wanted it to go. How to I change the image size and put the text wherever I like?
    2. I can't seem to find a way to hide the page title on a page which is not live. Is this possible?

    Many thanks

    Hi, I Work Here

With Vantage, you can edit the page in question, locate the Page Settings metabox in the right column and deactivate the page title.

    Page: Page Settings

Please, find the Hero documentation here: Page: Hero.

In the Design and Layout section you can set the Hero height. You can also set:

    Top and bottom padding
    Extra top padding
    Side padding

As well as the font sizes below that.

Thanks so much Andrew. Looking at it, we'd prefer to change the page title colour and size instead of using text over a hero image.
I have looked for threads on how to achieve this in Vantage theme, but can't find out where to do it. It seams it can't be done in Vantage.
Can I add code to CSS Editor?

    Thanks again for your help

    Hi, I Work Here

If you install SiteOrigin CSS there is a visual editor component and a regular field at AppearanceCustom CSS to add CSS rules. Alternatively, CSS can be added to CustomizeAdditional CSS. Unless you’re using a child theme, no changes must be made to AppearanceEditor.

At CustomizeTheme DesignFontsPage Title Size and Color you can adjust the title. See: Page: Fonts

    Hi,

we don't have a child theme. The site is built on the theme.
I have installed SiteOrigin CSS Editor, but cannot work out how to navigate to the page I am building to use the visual editor.
If I use the SiteOrigin CSS Editor will the changes be carried over on an update, even if the site is built on the theme?

I have found a lot of the links you are sharing with me, thanks for sharing, but these have not answered my questions.

    Apologies for so many questions.

    Regards.

    AMAZING. Done, thanks.
I now need to link and image to a pdf, but can't see how to do this.
Googled it but to no avail!

    Hi, I Work Here

    For sure :)

  20. 6 years, 2 months ago Al Stro

Ok, so we're soooooo close now.
I'm trying to change the images on the Meta Slider on our homepage, but it's not playing ball! I'm getting the following error: "The requested slide does not exist or something is wrong with the current image. Please try again or remove this slide."

Is this something you can help with or do I need to go to their support? I have just updated it to Version 3.13.0.

    Thanks for your help.
