Parallax shows white background instead of image

So I am doing parallax effect on a page. It works fine on the desktop browser. But on the ipnone and ipad I get the space, no picture just white background and whatever letters I have there. Here is the page: http://distritohispano.foursquare.org/mision-bolivia/ Please help. Thanks.

Hi There was too much space underneath the menu on all pages of my website. I import my own icons but they appear cut off or kind of tiled. What is the correct size of icons and format so that this does not happen.
