Open a Menu Item in a New Page or Tab

For setting a menu item to open in a new browser tab, follow the steps below:

Appearance: Menus

1. Navigate to the AppearanceMenus section within your dashboard.
2. Find the Screen Options tab located at the top right of your screen and click on it.
3. In the dropdown that appears, locate and enable the Link Target checkbox.
4. From the Select a menu to edit dropdown, choose the menu you want to alter and click the Select button.
5. Choose the specific menu item you wish to modify.
6. Find and check the Open link in a new tab checkbox.
7. Click the Save Menu button to keep your changes.

Appearance: Customize: Menus

1. Proceed to the AppearanceCustomize section within your dashboard.
2. Once in the Customizer, navigate to the Menus section.
3. Click the Gear icon at the top of the Customizer to Show advanced menu properties.
4. Locate and check the Link Target checkbox.
5. Choose the menu you want to edit.
6. Select the specific menu item you wish to change.
7. Check the Open link in a new tab checkbox.
8. Click the Publish button to keep your changes.
