Video widgets question

2 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 2 years ago

Hello, I have a question about the video widgets. There is the possibility to offer Youtube and Vimeo videos in the widget so that you can stop or start the video, but do not leave the blog by clicking the video.
This is great because I have pages with video collections.
Unfortunately, this is not the case when I use iframe or embed codes. When clicking on the provider (not Youtube) the visitor leaves my Worpress site and ends up with the corresponding provider.
Is there a way to prevent this? e.g. in the attributes via code or so? If not, that would be a cool extension.
Many thanks and greetings from Germany
Guenter

    Hi Guenter

    Thanks for posting your question.

Have you perhaps tried the SiteOrigin Video Player Widget?

    Page: Video Player

The Video Player Widget can be activated at PluginsSiteOrigin Widgets if it isn’t already active.

"Thank you very much for the response –

I managed to do it with a trick. My video source doesn't offer a format that I can use directly, like YouTube or Vimeo. Unfortunately, Odysee also doesn't work as hoped. However, if I open the desired video alone in a separate tab, I can integrate the address into the Site Origin
Video Widget as desired. As long as our server offers this possibility,
it works. Best regards from Germany Guenter"
