How to use post image instead of featured image

I want the featured image of blog posts to only show in the slider. Is there a way to customize when I want featured images to show and when I want the others to show.

If i update the products in the shopping card i have no thunbnails. If i press F5 to refresh is everything fine or it is enough to change a little the browser size to get the thumbnails back.
