Hyperlink Button Inert

I’m trying to add a link to a picture layer. I click on the layer and its title. I then click on the hyperlink icon, but nothing happens. What am I missing?

Hi, I’m trying to figure out how to add more than the default 5 blog posts on each page. http://www.auraandliya.com/2014/ I tried it using the Theme settings, but it didn’t change anything. Any help is much appreciated!
