I know how to do when the homepage shows the last posts.But is it possible to keep showing the slider when I want a static home page?

Hi, I need to add a new custom post type beside to the built-in project post type . I tryed to simply duplicate every occurrence of “project” with “custom” inside every duplicated/renamed files but wordpress hangs with a blank screen…
I cannot remove the sharing buttons from my pictures
Everytime I try to remove the sharing buttons at the pictures I am using for my slider and update it automatically resets and keeps the sharing buttons.
