Hi,
First, thank you for another great tool from SiteOrigin ;)
Questions :
– how do I switch to another page than the home page, from the visual or the full CSS Editor ?
– I am working with the Vantage Premium Theme : am I able to then also change the CSS on the Woocommerce pages ?
Thank you for your help!
Hi François
Thanks for reaching out. Really glad to hear you’re enjoying the new editor. At this stage you can only edit the home. We’re still in the early phases of the plugin so I’m sure we’ll add the ability to browse to other pages very soon. Once you can browse to your WooCommerce pages you’ll be able to target elements on those pages.
Hi Andrew,
Thank you for your quick answer : I will be checking regularly to see when upgrading the CSS Editor plugin will introduce the functionality to switch to other pages.
Thanks for your understanding. I’m sure we’ll be pushing regular updates as the plugin grows.
Cheers for now :)
I can change pages in CSS editor if they’re linked in the home page navigation menu. Clicking on the link opens a small dialog just above the right side of the inspector pane, which says, ‘Navigate To: : http://www.domain/page‘. Clicking on that takes me to the page. BUT it only works when the new page has a link in the page already open.
I can however use the inspector in Chrome or Firefox to locate items on other pages, add a class tag to an item in the code for that page and then add the style for that class in CSS Editor.
But I’m also looking forward to the ease of navigating inside CSS Editor to pages that do not have links on the current page.
Really embarrassing thread this, apologies François and thanks for brining it up SK. You can totally browse to different pages. So sorry for the hassle, I was a bit rushed this day and hadn’t properly dived into the plugin yet.
Clicking on the magnify glass turns the inspector off, you can then navigate freely.
Give that a go and let me know how you come along.
Thank you Andrew, and also SK:
– turning off the magnifying glass does allow normal navigation in the CSS
Editor,
and really makes it an extremely efficient tool; you see all changes in real time, no matter where you make them !
Kudos again for siteOrigin :))
François
Thanks for your understanding regarding my mistake earlier. We appreciate the feedback. I’ll be sure to pass it into Greg.
Cheers for now.
Hi,
I would also like to be able to edit elements on other pages than the homepage. Right now you’ll need to add all elements you want to use in your site to the homepage if you want to style them in the Visual CSS editor. I do not need this as an experienced web designer and heavy css user, but I’m teaching graphic designers to use your products. They would want to be able to create a website without having to use (or even see) any code at all.
As this thread started over a year ago, I’m really interested what Andrew means when he says: “so I’m sure we’ll add the ability to browse to other pages very soon“… ;-)
Thanks
Hi Erwin :)
Hopefully, you saw my correction above:
Clicking on the magnify glass turns the inspector off, you can then navigate freely.

Apologies for the confusion, the plugin had just come out when I made that mistake, you’ve always been able to navigate around your site, you just need to disable the inspector.
Hope that helps.
