Corp Theme: Free Version: Header menu color and Background photo

6 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 6 years ago

Hi there. Three questions.

I’m new to using SiteOrigin and am having a hard time trying to duplicate the clear/transparent background on the header menu of the free version of the Corp theme.

Q1: Is there a hex code that’s used for the clear background, or am I missing something?

Q2: Also, is there a way to have the header menu color change as you scroll down the page?

Regarding the background image…

Q3: Is there a way to make it scroll, or, to change what part of the image is seen? I can’t find a preferred dimension for the image size. (I’ve yet to add any depth to the page, so it could fix itself once the page has more to scroll through.)

Thank you,
AC

    Hi AC

    Thanks for reaching out.

The overlap is achieved using page settings, please see Page: Page Settings.

To get started with the background image, try creating a test page and following our tutorial for recreating the Corp home page: Page: Demo Home Page. That’ll give you an idea of how it all works.

    Q1: Page Settings
Q2: Also Page Settings, Light or Dark.
Q3: Best to follow the home page tutorial. You can’t change the part of the page being used. The header is overlapping whatever is below it.

    Hope that helps.

Thank you! That’s exactly what I was looking for (and ironically, in your prelisted documents. Sorry I missed that.)

So, I’m doing a test page for the home page, and think I have one setting off. The page seems “stretched” … like it’s a little too wide. But I can’t locate where to adjust the full page stretched setting. I can make it live if you need to see what I mean.

Glad to hear you’re making progress. Each row can be adjusted, hover over the wrench icon far-right, Edit RowLayoutRow Layout, adjust as required.
