Change layout of single page view?

4 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 4 years ago

Hi, I’m using the Vantage theme and overall pleased with it. One thing is realy driving me crazy. I can’t seem to change the layout of a single post view. The only way I can make adjustment is using ‘Customising ▸ Theme Settings > Blog’?

I would like the featured image always adjusting to the same size but can’t seem to pull it of. Also, I would like to have the post title dislayed first, followed by the featured image as thumbnail and the test of the post wrapped around it.

Is there any way I can create this? Any plugins that would do the trick? Or do I need to build up a new single.php page?

Thanks,
Tom

    Hi Tom

    Thanks for reaching out.

At the moment, Vantage doesn’t provide the option to change the single post layout. If you’d like to customize Vantage at a code level you can find a starter child theme here. More on migrating theme settings from parent to child theme here.

There might be a plugin that can assist with customizing the single post layout. I haven’t used one in the past so don’t have a recommendation.
