    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Thomas

    Thanks for reaching out.

    Sorry to hear you’ve run into a possible plugin conflict. I’ve checked our email support desk and can see replies from Alex to all of your emails. If you didn’t receive our replies, please check your Spam folder to see if they are perhaps being incorrectly marked as Spam.

    To confirm the suspected plugin conflict, please try the following:

    1. Temporarily deactivate all plugins not authored by SiteOrigin, do so in one go.
    2. Edit your home page, check to see if all is normal. If everything is operating normally, activate Envira Gallery first and re-test the home page.

    Let us know how that goes :)

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Westfield,

    I’ve received a few reports there are a few issues with the latest Envira Gallery update and it sounds like you’re affected by this issue. Envira Gallery is aware of this issue (the person who reported them to us had reported them to Envira Gallery and he stated they were aware of it) so they should be fixed in the next Envira Gallery update.

    Hi Andrew and Alex

    thanks for replying on the forum …I have not received any email replies and all spam folders have been checked …could be Mac Mail..!

    Hi T,

    That’s strange. I just replied again, let me know if you don’t receive it.

    Hi Alex/Andrew

    I contacted Envira re updates. Here’s their response…

    Thanks Thomas

    Yes, I would go back to them about this. We’re not aware of anything but I know there’s a few page builders out there that do this and it’s something they have to do in their code to reflect the live preview when still in the Editor mode.

    I’m very sorry for the trouble or back and forth on this. I’m here if I can help in anyway!

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Westfield,

    Thank you for your email. Can you please install WP Rollback and roll Envira Gallery back to 1.6.2. Does this issue remain? If so, please try reverting it back to 1.6.1.7. Does this issue still remain?

    You mentioned this issue was only occuring on your home page. If you replicate the layout of your home page on a different page, does this issue?

  7. 6 years, 4 months ago Westfield

    Hi Alex

    the WP rollback plugin doesn’t appear work with Envira Gallery (see enc image)

    I’ll try cloning the page and see if that works (row by row)

    Hi Westfield.

    Unfortunately, we’re unable to process attachments at this time. Can you please upload the screenshot to a third party image hosting site like Imgur or vgy.me?

    Please try reverting Page Builder by SietOrigin to 2.9.7. Does this issue occur anymore?

    Rollback to v 2.9.7 didn’t work

    I’ll try rebuilding row by row

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Westfield,

    Thank you for the screenshot. To roll back Envira Gallery you’ll need to disable it first.

    Unfortunately, it appears as though there’s something breaking 2.9.7. I’m not too sure what but if rolling Envira Gallery back doesn’t help, can you please try rolling SiteOrigin page Builder back but this time please disable everything but SiteOrigin Page Builder, SiteOrigiN Widgets Bundle, and Envira.

    I’ll try rebuilding row by row

    You can copy and paste rows between pages..

  11. 6 years, 4 months ago Westfield

    Hi Alex

    Link below to jpeg re Envira Gallery rollback
    https://www.dropbox.com/s/psne9sbjzi8j74j/envira.jpg?dl=0 <https://www.dropbox.com/s/psne9sbjzi8j74j/envira.jpg?dl=0&gt;

    as you'll see from image the rollback link still doesn’t display even when Envira Gallery is disabled

    As I can’t test this option I’ve copied each row and created another ‘homepage'
    http://inverclyderamblers.org.uk/home2/ <http://inverclyderamblers.org.uk/home2/&gt;

    2.9.7 Page Builder works fine on this new version (although the page content doesn’t display correctly
    – likely due to CSS edits on the actual homepage)

    Unsure if I can simply rename this new page ‘home’ and rename the faulty page to something else – will the css work or does it use a page id rather than the page link to apply instructions?

    let me know what you think

  12. 6 years, 4 months ago Alex S
    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Westfield,

    So, to confirm, Envira Gallery works without issue on the new page, correct? Does it work when you update to the latest version of SiteOrigin Page Builder? If so, please navigate to WP AdminSettingsReading and temporarily change the front page to the created test to see if that still works.

    as you’ll see from image the rollback link still doesn’t display even when Envira Gallery is disabled

    That’s odd. You can manually rollback if the above instructions didn’t help.

    Preface: Please do a backup before proceeding.

    Please navigate to WP AdminPluginsInstalled Plugins and deactivate Envira Gallery. Then delete Envira Gallery. Click Add NewUpload Plugin and upload an older version of the plugin – this can be downloaded here.

  13. 6 years, 4 months ago Westfield

    Hi Alex

    yes, on the new homepage Envira works fine (there’s no gallery on the homepage)
    in that when it's active Page Builder displays correctly.

    I’ve updated to 2.10.2 and Page Builder displays correctly on the new homepage
    (although the new homepage doesn’t display correctly in the browser)

    I’ve re checked the current homepage to see which plugins need to be deactivated in order to display Page Builder correctly – if Envira Gallery or Sydney Toolbox are activated then Page Builder displays as code only.

    I can delete and re install an earlier gallery to see if that works

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Westfield,

    Does Envira Gallery (and in turn, SiteOrigin Page Builder) display correctly if you temporarily change to a different theme?

  15. 6 years, 4 months ago Westfield

    Hi Alex

    the conflict isn’t just with Envira Gallery – when I activate any of the following plugins
    Page Builder won’t display in ‘blocks’ just in code;

    Envira Gallery
    Metaslider
    Site Origin Widgets

    But in the duplicated ‘home2' all of these plugins are active and
    Page Builder displays perfectly.

    The other difference between ‘home’ and 'home2’ is the full screen Sydney slider header isn’t active in ‘home2’ as it can only be applied to one page/homepage (as far as I know)

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Westfield,

    Thanks for clarifying. Please try temporarily change to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

  17. 6 years, 4 months ago Westfield

    Hi Alex

    I changed the theme to 'Twenty Nineteen’ and Page Builder displayed the same error …so, doesn’t appear to be theme related

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Westfield,

    Thanks. I’ve run a few tests and I can’t seem to replicate this issue on your website. Outside of setting the Home 2 page as your home page, is there any other steps required to cause this issue? After setting the Home2 page as your front page, I checked and there weren’t any differences (outside of the Sydney header).

  25. 6 years, 4 months ago Westfield

    Hi Alex

    there are some errors in appearance on home2 on my Safari Browser
    – basically alignment issues …see links below

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/vpjty2szgy9p901/Screenshot%202019-03-05%20at%2017.08.29.png?dl=0 <https://www.dropbox.com/s/vpjty2szgy9p901/Screenshot%202019-03-05%20at%2017.08.29.png?dl=0&gt;

    If these can be resolved I could change the homepage to ‘home2’

    Did you see the display error with Page Builder on the current homepage when any of the 3 plugins were active?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Westfield,

    That’s strange. I’m not too sure why that’s happening, but I suspect it might be a symptom of the issue rather than the actual issue itself so I think we should focus on Page Builder code outputting as code first.

    Did you see the display error with Page Builder on the current homepage when any of the 3 plugins were active?

    Unfortunately, no, I wasn’t able to replicate that. Are you able to replicate this issue in a different browser or on a different computer?

  27. 6 years, 4 months ago Westfield

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Westfield,

    Thanks. I suspect you’re reaching the memory limit. Please follow the instructions outlined here on how to increase the memory limit. You’ll need to edit wp-config.php. If you’re unfamiliar with FTP, I would recommend asking your hosting provider for help with editing this file.

  29. 6 years, 4 months ago Westfield

    Hi Alex

    the link you supplied does describe how to edit the wp-config.php file but not how to increase the memory
    https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-edit-wp-config-php-file-in-wordpress/ <https://www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/how-to-edit-wp-config-php-file-in-wordpress/&gt;

    the same site does have an increase memory tutorial here:
    https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/fix-wordpress-memory-exhausted-error-increase-php-memory/ <https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/fix-wordpress-memory-exhausted-error-increase-php-memory/&gt;

    I’ve now doubled the memory by editing the file:

    define( 'WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '256M' );

    Unfortunately Page Builder still won’t refresh with any of the 3 plugins activated

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Westfield,

    Oh sorry! I accidentally omitted that link, my mistake.

    Can you please try restoring your home page to a revision made prior to this issue occurring? This will allow me to rule out a specific edit that’s conflicting with these plugins which I have seen happen before. If you’re unfamiliar with the revision system, please refer to this article.

  31. 6 years, 4 months ago Westfield

    Hi Alex

    I’ve now restored the homepage back to 28 Dec 2018 when this page was displaying correctly in Page Builder
    …however even with this page restored Page Builder still won’t refresh correctly unless the following plugins are deactivated;

    Envira Gallery
    Metaslider
    Iframe
    Site Origin Widget Bundle

    Let me know if there’s any other options to try

  32. 6 years, 4 months ago Alex S
    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Westfield,

    Can you please enable WP_DEBUG? This will require editing your wp-config.php file. Once edited, please open your home page and send me a copy of the (hopefully) visible PHP error present.

    Also, can you please confirm what version of PHP you’re using?

  33. 6 years, 4 months ago Westfield

    Hi Alex

    the PHP version currently used is 7.0

    Debug code was changed from false to

    define( 'WP_DEBUG', true );
    I can’t see any change on the homepage but please log in to check

  34. 6 years, 4 months ago Alex S
    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Westfield,

    Thanks. The following error occurs when editing your home page:

    <b>Fatal error</b>: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 24576 bytes)

    This sort error should have been resolved by increasing the memory limit but as it didn’t, you’re likely experiencing a memory leak (something within the code is continually running until you hit the memory limit). Would it be possible for me to create a backup of your website for local testing?

  35. 6 years, 4 months ago Westfield

    Hi Alex

    Yes, please do …anything that will resolve this is fine by me…!

  36. 6 years, 4 months ago Alex S
    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Westfield,

    I’ve created a new test page on your website and I can’t seem to replicate this issue with that page either. Does this issue occur if you temporarily change your home page to SiteOrigin Test Page?

  37. 6 years, 4 months ago Westfield

    Hi Alex

    I’ve now changed the homepage to your rebuild …the header slider works and Page Builder refreshes correctly
    …however there’s alignment issues in the rows and unnecessary gaps after the header and on the footer
    – as you can see.

    Please let me know what’s causing these and I can then make this the new homepage

  38. 6 years, 4 months ago Alex S
    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Westfield,

    Those alignment issues and gaps are as a result of page settings. To remove them simply set the created test page up with the same page settings (which is everything external to Page Builder – ie. the Page Template).

  39. 6 years, 4 months ago Westfield

    Hi Alex

    many thanks, all looks great..!!!

    …one minor task I still have is how to align these images as they’re both the same size but one appears ’shorter’?

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/4522sqf2sfk8ozy/alignment.jpg?dl=0 <https://www.dropbox.com/s/4522sqf2sfk8ozy/alignment.jpg?dl=0&gt;

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Westfield,

    The sizing difference is due to the differences in column sizing. The images are the full width of the cell so if one cell is smaller/larger, the image will be a different size.

    If you edit the row and set both columns to be the same size, the images will appear at exactly the same size.

  41. 6 years, 4 months ago Westfield

    I was sure I specified both columns at 50%
    …now fixed!

    Thanks again
