Google Maps Consent Prompt

The SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle version 1.17.9 adds a consent prompt option to the Google Maps widget. User consent is required before loading the Google Maps API for sites complying with regulations like DSGVO, or GDPR. The consent prompt settings are located at Plugins > SiteOrigin Widgets > Google Maps: Settings.

Rank Math Page Builder Support

Page Builder is now compatible with RankMath in both the WordPress Classic and Block Editor. For those unfamiliar, RankMath is a popular up and coming SEO plugin with a strong focus on content analysis. RankMath support was first added to Page Builder in version 2.11.1.

Improved Yoast SEO Support

We’re excited to announce that Page Builder version 2.11.0 greatly improves Yoast SEO compatibility in the Classic and Block Editor. In the Classic Editor, we’ve extended content analysis to all widgets, previously only a predefined list of core WordPress and SiteOrigin widgets were analyzed. In the Block Editor, we’ve introduced content analysis to the SiteOrigin Layout Block.

Page Builder 2.10.16 Security Update

On Monday the 4th of May, Wordfence kindly reached out and let us know they had discovered two security vulnerabilities in Page Builder. SiteOrigin is primarily based in the GMT+2 timezone, the news reached us after working hours. On Tuesday the 5th of May, we resolved both issues. Once testing was complete, we released an update for Page Builder, version 2.10.16.

January – February 2020 Plugin and Theme Updates
