hi im trying to select and use a layout premade in the page builder section, but everytime I try to choose one the widgets dont appear with the message
“The widget SiteOrigin_Widget_Hero_Widget is not available.”
Iv installed and update our siteorigin widgets bundle plugin, im not sure why its not working. Can you help please?
Hi Sophia,
Once the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle is installed, you’ll need to activate your desired widgets (read: the hero widget). This can be done by navigating to WP AdminPluginsSiteOrigin Widgets.
Alternatively, if you save the page when you see this message we’ll activate the widget if it’s available but deactivated.
Hi,
Yes that was the first thing i checked… all the widgets are active
Hi Sophia,
Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
Hi Alex,
Hi yes I read to do that online so I tried that and didnt work afraid, i deactivated all plugins except siteOrigin bundle tried created a new page with a page builder and still the widgets didnt show up. The wigdets work when i dont use a template but if I use a pagebuilder it doesnt work.
The theme im using is equity theme, I didnt set up the site, is this a sight origin theme?
cheers for your help!
sophia
Hi Sophia,
Unfortunately, no, we didn’t make that theme. This isn’t really a requirement though as there’s nothing really required by theme developers to make our plugins compatible with their theme.
To clarify, by page builder, do you mean SiteOrigin Page Builder? I ask as the words you’re using sound like you’re using a different plugin. If you are, can you show me a screenshot of what you see? Please note that you won’t be able to upload an image attachment so you’ll need to upload it to a third party image hosting site like Imgur or vgy.me.
