White Screen Of Death (Wsod) while/after adjusting the premium theme
Hi there,
I’m a little bit lost…
Last week I got a white screen while I was busy making changes in the premium theme in the panel. I didn’t install an new plugin before it happened. I don’t think it’s a memory issue either. What can I do? I have backups. Earlier this year I created a child-theme, this one is working well: I don’t get a WSOD with it (but the theme is ‘rough’ en without all the adjustments I made thereafter).
Maybe I should re-install the premium theme? Is that possible or is this only once possible (after buying the premium version)?
I hope someone has an idea how to solve this problem, because unfortunately I’m a little bit stuck right now.
Cheers. Martin

3Hi Martin
I’m sorry to hear about this challenge.
You could try re-install the premium theme. The instructions can be found here: https://siteorigin.com/basics/updating-theme-from-zip/ and the download link in your order confirmation email.
The other routes to consider: http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-wordpress-white-screen-of-death/ are to temporarily de-activate all plugins and re-test. You could also re-test with a default WordPress theme.
Hi Andrew,
Thank you for your quick reply! After all the theme wasn’t the problem: deactivating all plugins and subsequently activating them one by one did the job. I’m very pleased the site works well again :-)
Thanks again for your help!
Martin
Really glad to hear you were able to resolve. All the best with your project.
