Hi,
Trying to figure out how to filter Media types to only display PDF’s. Have no idea, I can filter posts with category or post_tag, but can’t for the life of me figure out how to filter media…I get all the media….even tried file_type:pdf
Any ideas?
Trying to build a member page where people can download pdf’s, so would like to display them without having to hard code it.
Hi David,
Please open the post carousel and open the Posts Query settings. Set the Post Type to Media and set Additional field to:
Please note that while this work, it won’t display 100% as desired. You’ll likely need to create a custom post loop template for the post loop widget.
I get 'Invalid request.' when previewing. When looking at my page, nothing appears.

Hi Alex, tried that and I get ‘Invalid Request’ when previewing within the widget, and when I look at the page, just get blank.
Hi David,
That’s odd. I can’t seem to replicate that. Hm. Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.
If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.
Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.
If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.
