What taxonomy for Post Carousel to filter Media

Hi, Trying to figure out how to filter Media types to only display PDF’s. Have no idea, I can filter posts with category or post_tag, but can’t for the life of me figure out how to filter media…I get all the media….even tried file_type:pdf Any ideas? Trying to build a member page where people can…
