Visual editor delete HTML

I tried the header with Font Awesome that you have described in the post url below, but the visual editor keeps removing the tags.

Problem with header

As long as I am in text mode everything is fine, but if I click the Visual tap, the HTML that insert the font awesome icons get’s deleted.

Is there a way that I can prevent that from happening?

    Ahh that is frustrating. This would be a good place to use the regular old Text widget. Give that a try.
