Version / Cache problems

Hi,

i were invited to a new project, whose first developer is not available anymore, so i do not know what happend. My problem is, that the siteorigin css files are available, but were not loaded, when link url contains a version attribute like

“/wp-content/uploads/siteorigin-widgets/sow-image-default-813df796d9b1.css?ver=4.9.1”

These occurs to all siteorigins css files in this directory

“/wp-content/uploads/siteorigin-widgets”

All CMS/plugins/themes are up2date, so i could not be any old plugin, poor the first developer did not left a backup of his last changes, so i have to deal with the current situation.

I looked into the forum, but just found older entries, had a look, but no luck to find a solution. Please have a look at

Private Snippet

Hope for some help and with best regards,
Alex

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Alex,

Hm. To clarify is wp-content/uploads/siteorigin-widgets writeable? If you’re not familiar with how to do this I would recommend reaching out to your hosting provider.

If it is, what sort of cache are you using? Does this issue resolve itself (at least temporarily) if you clear your cache?

    Hi Alex,

first at all: Happy New Year and thanks for your reply.

As far, i’m developer and firm to this. Dir rights are 705, curious so i made recursively 755 to dirs, 644 to files, so that all right set as usuall.
After that i cleared caches and reloaded having a try to reproduce to the problem. The problem stil occours. Usually this would occour on minification or css file combination, or caching, but no plugin nor theme setting found belong to that.

I deactivated one plugin after the other and then found an incomaptibility to the plugin “Custom css-js-php”, here were some css and php rules defined.

Because i think it is better, that those settings much better stored in theme itself, i do not need to have siteorigin compatibility to that.

    -solved-

    Best regards, Alex
