Vantage theme home page slider no longer using Metaslider, is this correct?

I am using the Vantage theme to create a new website and just happened to notice, since the last site I made, that the home page slider configuration seems to be different. I thought it always used to recommend using Metaslider to create the homepage slider but now it seems to recommend SmartSlider3. Can I still use MetaSlider or is it better if I go with what you have recommended? And what about older sites that are using MetaSlider, will I have to migrate them over the SmartSlider3 or can they stay as they are… will they still be supported?

    Thanks for reaching out.

    The Vantage – Meta Slider integration functions as it always did, there is no need to migrate existing sites to Smart Slider. For new sites, you can choose which integration to use, it’s up to you. We’ve found Smart Slider to be a good fit which is why we changed the recommendation, the Meta Slider integration still functions the same.

    Thanks Andrew. I will give it a go on my next site, but thankfully found I could still use Meta Slider and am very grateful that I don’t have to migrate all the other sites over. Cheers Lyndelle.
