Vantage Premium Child Theme Menubar missing items

I’ve created a child theme:
style.css

@charset "UTF-8";
/*
 Theme Name:   Vantage Premium Child
 Description:  Vantage Premium Child Theme
 Author:       Phillip Boushy
 Author URI:   http://phillip.boushy.com
 Template:     vantage
 Version:      1.0.0
 Tags:         responsive-layout, fluid-layout, custom-background, custom-menu, featured-images, theme-options, threaded-comments, translation-ready, black, white, light, one-column, two-columns, full-width-template
 Text Domain:  vantage-child
*/

@import url("../vantage/style.css");

/* =Theme customization starts here
-------------------------------------------------------------- */

For some reason, the category item and login button I have in my menu disappear when I use the child.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Phillip

    Thanks for running Vantage.

    Activating a child theme does require the Customizer options to be re-done as well as the menu assignment. Have you tried going to Appearance > Menus and re-saving your custom menu to the primary menu location?

    Hi.
    My vantage child theme was working perfectly until I downloaded the vantage premium theme. I used the following css code which I found on this forum:
    {code}
    /*
    Theme Name: Vantage Child
    Author: SiteOrigin
    Template: vantage
    Version: 1.0.0
    */

    @import url(“../vantage/style.css”);
    {/code]
    I still have a working version on my localhost using xampp and. However the live site is no longer showing the slider image
    Help!
    Thanks

      Hi Michael

      Your child CSS looks good so there is probably something else going on. If your slider is missing check the slider allocation under Appearance > Theme Settings > Home.
