Vantage masthead padding

I’d like to remove (or reduce) the top and bottom padding in the masthead within the Vantage theme.

I’ve looked through past threads, but they seem to be mainly about nine years old and the interface has changed since then.

Is there some documentation I should be looking at?

    The header padding can be adjusted from AppearanceCustomizeTheme DesignGeneral.

    SiteOrigin Premium offers the Block Animations Addon, but I’m not sure how you’d create the specific layout you see on your demo site with hidden and appearing words.
