Using Slider Widget in Magazine-Plus theme

I’m a novice who has purchased the Magazine-Plus theme via Bluehost for my WordPress site and have the following questions:

Should I be able to insert an image slider widget at the top of my Main (middle column in 3-column layout) Bar?
Why is my main bar now longer appearing in the Widget menu? It’s been replaced by “Header Right Widget Area”
I’ve followed the directions at https://siteorigin.com/widgets-bundle/post-carousel-widget/ but can’t get the slider to appear in the header right widget area. What gives? Do I need install some sore of Java widget?
I’ve been working from the Widgets area under Appearance in WordPress, rather than using the Pagebuilder tab, because I can’t find the Home Page where I want to insert the slider widget. Any advice?

    Hi Charlie

    Thanks for reaching out.

Sorry, I can’t say without looking at the theme. Good question to send to theme support.

Also a good question for theme support.

No further action should be required other than inserting and setting up the widget. To work out if it’s a problem with the widget area or the widget itself, create a test page, click the Page Builder tab and insert a Carousel Widget, does it work correctly once setup? This assumes you have Page Builder by SiteOrigin installed.

It depends on the theme in question. Some themes don’t use a regular home page but rather sections handled from theme settings or other arrangements. This is something theme support can assist you with.
