Upgraded and now lost
Hi there,
I’ve been using WordPress for a couple years, and have felt pretty familiar with it, but now I’m lost. LOL
I switched to the Vantage template, and liked it enough to upgrade to the Premium version so I could change the background colors and do more things, ……and lost Page Builder and Home page.
Also, when in CUSTOMIZE, I change the colors, but nothings happening. :(
The site is in Maintenance Mode right now, not sure if that is effecting anything.
Thanks.

3Hi Sasha
Thanks for running Vantage. Sorry to hear about these hassles.
I don’t have anything specific in mind here so I’ll throw out a few ideas.
1. Check that there are no updated pending under Dashboard > Updates.
2. Temporarily de-activate all non-SiteOrigin plugins. De-activate everything at once. Any change?
3. Is there any chance changes from the Customizer aren’t showing due to a caching plugin?
Failing all of the above working, please send through a set of temporary login details and url to [email protected] and I’ll take a look. Please include a link to this thread in the email so I can match everything up.
Hi Andrew,
I found the Page Builder. On the Free version before I upgraded it was a separate thing in the main menu on the dashboard (just above the MetaSlider one) with the Home Page option, but when I upgraded that disappeared. I’ve found that it’s now on EVERY page…which is way better. I just didn’t know to find it there. *blush*
I followed your notes, and The customizer is updating, now. Thank you. . There were no updates pending, but maybe one of the pug-ins was making things wacky.
Thanks so much.
Sasha
If you perhaps updated Page Builder at the same time to 1.5.2 we’re working through a few hiccups with that. One of which was the Appearance > Home Page item being removed. We’ll push an update this evening GMT+2 to resolve that.
Page Builder should have always had a tab on each page if it was installed, glad you found that. Right now you could also edit your home page via Pages > Home Page, that Appearance > Home Page item is a shortcut.
Let me know if I haven’t covered anything here.
