Update of SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle lost my ability to edit

I just updated the SiteOrigin widgets bundle and lost all ability to edit my pages and posts. When I uninstalled it the functionality returned. There is a serious bug in this latest update. I see I am not the only one with this issue. Please advice how to fix it. Thank you.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Kaye,

I’m very sorry to hear you’re having issues with the latest SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle. Unfortunately, we haven’t been able to replicate this issue so we’re not too sure on the source of the issue and what type of website it affects.

To confirm, do you see the blank white page on submission? If so, please enable WP_DEBUG. This can be done by editing your wp-config.php. If you need help with enabling this setting, please reach out to your hosting provider for assistance.

By enabling WP_DEBUG, you’ll be able to see an error message on the previously blank page. Once you’ve enabled WP_DEBUG, please replicate this issue again and send me a copy of the error message on the previously blank page. Once this issue occurs, please send me a copy of the error message.

    Hi, I Work Here

Hi Kaye, sorry for the hassle. You’re most likely using PHP 5.x.x. An immediate solution would be to contact your hosts and ask them to upgrade you to PHP 7.x.x. We’ll resolve the problem in an update to the Widgets Bundle ASAP but upgrading your server PHP version to WordPress recommended PHP 7 would be an immediate solution.

Thank you very much. Do you have any idea when you will have the new ‘fix’ update ready? Will it be as early as this week?

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for your understanding. We’re working on it now. It’ll definitely be this week. If you choose to ask your hosts to move you to PHP 7.x.x, that won’t be a waste of effort and is worthwhile.

Thank you so much for your rapid response. I am not a technical person, but I have found SiteOrigin to be a great solution for me – LOVE IT! I may not have time to check with GoDaddy where I host, but will definitely look for your update this week.
