Unable to make my slider fit in responsive mode

Notice: This thread is over two years old; the information may be outdated. Please consider creating a new thread if you require free support. If you have an active SiteOrigin Premium license, you can email our premium support desk at [email protected].

The slider on this site: http://rotaryclubbocawest.com doesn’t fit the way I want.
It is too big and when I try to see on iPad or simply a smaller laptop, the image
doesn’t shrink as it should in responsive mode.

Please help:

Page Builder: 2.4.11
SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle 1.6.5
Theme: SiteOrigin North
WordPress: 4.6
Dimensions of 5 images: 1920×1280

Design and Layout configuration: Height 1280 px
Maximum container width: blank

I don’t know what else I can tell you to make it easier to figure out what I am doing wrong.

Please revert

Any help here? I wonder if I need to upgrade to Premium support, as I recently received a msg about it.

    Hi Veruska

Thanks for posting your question, sorry we weren’t able to reply sooner. We do have a much quicker response time available with SiteOrigin Premium, the landing page is here: Download: SiteOrigin Premium.

If you edit your Hero widget you’ll find in the Design and Layout section a setting labelled Height. You could use the height setting to constrain the height of your widget.

The Hero isn’t fully responsive when it comes to background images because it isn’t currently using fit text. In other words, because the content layer doesn’t fully resize, the background only partially does. I recommend switching to the SiteOrigin Slider widget which should solve all of these problems, you can make that move because you aren’t using any text layers in the Hero.

    Thank you
I already paid for the SiteOrigin Premium.
Where should I post my future enquiries? Which forum?

I followed your suggestion and switched from Hero to Slider widget.
It solved the width issue, but I still can’t figure out how to make it to display full height.
I knew how to adjust image height on Hero but I don’t know how to do it on Slider widget.

I guess it is under Row/Design/Background Image Display but I tried all 5 options and still some images
are not displaying its full height. Do I have to scale my images to a specific max size? If so, what is it?
    My images are 1920x1280px.
