Top Line of Webpage Cannot be Colored

I’m updating a website with a new page and I can’t seem get the top line of text to be colored. I used Site Origin Editor to add the top line and used the Design button to define the color. I chose the color and Updated, but the top line is still black.

    Thanks for the link. I’m not seeing inline styles for the text color. Did you use the text color button shown in the following screenshot?
