Theme will not save settings

10 years ago · Last reply by Andrew Misplon 10 years ago

I’m using the Vantage Premium. None of the theme settings will stick. I upload the logo, hit save and it just disappears. Same if I try enabling responsive, etc. The wordpress settings are working, just nothing within the theme.
I’ve tried deleting the theme and re-uploading, trying a different browser, but no difference.
Please help.

    Hi Jennifer Rushing

Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

    Let me know the outcome

Deactivating all of the plugins did not work.

    Hi Jennifer

Sorry to hear about the hassle. We’ll get you back up and running ASAP.

Would it be possible for you to create a temporary admin account for us so we can log in and take a look? You can create the account with the following email address:

    [email protected]

Just navigate to Users > Add New in your WordPress admin. Enter siteorigin for the username and [email protected] for the email address. Make sure you’ve selected Administrator for the role and enabled the “Send Password” field so we receive the details.

Once we’re finished taking a look, you can delete this account. We’ll let you know when to do that.

    Thanks :)

We think the problem might be the name of the vantage folder on your server. If possible, using FTP or hosting File Manager access, please go to /wp-content/themes/ it looks like the folder name “vantage” has a space on the end. That’s causing the problem.

You could also re-install the theme, here are the instructions for doing that:

    https://siteorigin.com/basics/updating-theme-from-zip/

If you need to locate the download link for your theme ZIP file you can do so from here:

Page: Retrieve Your Theme Order Numbers

Let us know how that goes :)
