Storage of links?

9 years ago · Last reply by Alex S 9 years ago

Can I ask how links (eg image Destination URL) are stored? Are they plain text or encoded somehow?
The reason I ask is that I am using another plugin that encodes the links, so the All-In-One-Migration plugin cannot replace my TEST domain with my LIVE domain!

Does your plugin encode the links?

Thanks

    Hi Darren,

If it’s an internal image, it’ll store it as an ID rather than a direct link. This means it doesn’t need to be replaced as the link is fetched on load. If it’s an external link (or a full link), it’s stored in a serialized format.
