Special characters in SiteOrigin textwidget

I have issues with special characters using the Siteorigin Text widget. Whenever i update text and include german characters like ü, ä, ß, and save, these characters then appear as ä, ö and so on, and that also would show up on the frontend… is there an encoding issue now?

    Hi Makaio,

    This should be fixed in the latest update of the SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle, 1.9.7? If you’re not using this version, please try updating. If this issue is still occurring for you after updating, please try clearing your browser cache.
