I’m trying to remove the spacing from my homepage between the main homepage menu and the homepage master template. there is about 25 px of space that I’m trying to get rid of.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hi Caleb

    Thanks for the wait.

    At Appearance > Custom CSS insert:

    /* Home */
    .home #main {
    padding-top: 0;
    }

    That’s just for the home page, if you want it sitewide then:

    /* Main Container */
    #main {
    padding-top: 0;
    }

    Hope that helps :)

    thanks. that totally works.

    I have a few more questions. should I make a new post for each or can I ask them in this post?

    haha. Cool.

    I’d would like to change the side of the header (specifically the part the says “caleb warwick” )

    and then also I’d like to get rid of the search Icon. My site will be pretty simple so it’ll be pretty unnecessary for the home page

    No problem. You can turn search off at Appearance > Theme Settings > Navigation > Search in Menu.
    You can change the site title from Settings > General. Whatever you enter as the site title will print where you currently see: caleb warwick. If you wanted to upload a logo you could do that from Appearance > Theme Settings > Logo.

    Oh, ha. I didn’t even see that option for the search bar.
    If I wanted to change the size of the header text, is there a way to do that?
    also for the custom header text on the Right side, is it possible to have two lines instead of the one?

    Hi Caleb

    You can fix/change this with some custom CSS. If you navigate to Appearance > Custom CSS, you’ll get our custom CSS editor. Just add the following code.

    /* Site Title */
    header#masthead .hgroup h1 {
    	font-size: 36px;
    }

    It’s easiest to go to Appearance > Widgets and insert a SiteOrigin Editor widget into the header area. That’ll give you more control over the text on the right of the header.
