Some Visual Editor widgets are no longer editable on a particular page.

When I try to edit a problem widget, I see a flash of the normal visual editor window which instantly disappears, leaving only a time/date stamp with today’s date/time on a blank page.
Additional info:
A few of the Visual Editor widgets on this page are editable, but most are not.
Each widget on the page has the same content type: a video link and some text.
I have not come across this issue on any other page … yet.
It’s an old page. Some of the page content was created 5 years ago (2015).
The errors occur whether editing is attempted from the front-end or back-end admin editor.
The problem occurs in all browsers.
Plugin conflict tests were negative. No change with other plugins deactivated.
If all else fails I could rebuild the page. Admittedly, the page could use a facelift. But I’d rather not if I can avoid it.
