SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle prevents edit mode to load

I am experiencing a problem with SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle. It was fine all the time but about an hour ago it started preventing the Edit to load. pages remain white.
I cleared cache, deactivated all plugins and started to activating them one by one. Once SiteOrigin Widgets Bundle is activated the edit screen does not load.
However, when the plugin is activated the website looks fine – Edit does not work. If the plugin is deactivated the edit mode works fine, but the site looks broken.
Currently I deactivated all other plugins except Page Builder by SiteOrigin and SiteOrigin Widgets by CodeLights.
Today the entire day I worked without issues even thouhg I had all other plugins activated.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Nataliya,

Does this issue remain after deactivating SiteOrigin Widgets by CodeLights? I ask as that’s actually a third party widget and not one of ours so it (regrettably) could cause you issues.

If the issue does remain, please enable WP_DEBUG. This can be done by editing your wp-config.php. If you need help with enabling this setting, please reach out to your hosting provider for assistance.

By enabling WP_DEBUG, you’ll be able to see an error message on the previously blank page. Once you’ve enabled WP_DEBUG, please replicate this issue again and send me a copy of the error message on the previously blank page. Once this issue occurs, please send me a copy of the error message.

    Thank you for replying.
I changed false to true in the wp-config file. I also disabled SiteOrigin Widgets by CodeLights plugin. The screen turns light grey but the error message is not displayed and page edit function still doesn’t work.
I am surprised you can’t replicate it as I see a lot of people having exactly the same issue that started as about the same time.

    Hi, I Work Here

Hi Nataliya, sorry for the hassle. You’re most likely using PHP 5.x.x. An immediate solution would be to contact your hosts and ask them to upgrade you to PHP 7.x.x. We’ll resolve the problem in an update to the Widgets Bundle ASAP but upgrading your server PHP version to WordPress recommended PHP 7 would be an immediate solution.
