SiteOrigin Slider Has Too Much White Space Under It

I’ve seen other threads but I’m using SiteOrigin Slider – not Meta Slider?? (different?). Anyway, I have two sliders next to each other on a page and a Text widget right under both. There is a ton of space under the slider image and the text. How can I remove? thanks- https://www.theshowroomatrubenstein.com/bath/

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Lisa

    Thanks for reaching out.

If you briefly switch from your current theme to a default theme like Twenty Seventeen, does the issue resolve?

Please, give the above test a try and let us know how it goes. Thanks.

HI- It looks like it's happening with other themes too.

    Hi, I Work Here

Can you briefly show me with Twenty Seventeen? I can check now.

I’d rather not. After I switched it and switched it back I had to redo some things in my footer.

    This is in interface theme

    Hi, I Work Here

Sure. It’s hard to say without inspecting myself, my guess is that there is a conflict between the theme and the slider widget, both are using jquery.cycle. I can confirm if I can inspect the issue with a default theme activated. The slider is assigning and inline height that’s greater than the image height. I don’t seem to be able to recreate that issue locally.

    Hi, I Work Here

The free version doesn’t automatically include jquery.cycle like the pro version does. I can’t test with the pro version. A quick way to resolve this might be to install Smart Slider 3, create your slider via the Smart Slider 3 interface and then insert it into the page.

If we’re able to inspect the site in Twenty Seventeen and can confirm it’s a jquery cycle issue, you could then ask the authors for a method of dequeuing the conflicting script. We’d have to confirm the issue first though.

Okay, thanks. It isn't happening on the home page where I also have a slider. I imagine that makes it even more unclear what the problem is.

    Hi, I Work Here

Thanks for your understanding. Conflicts like this are rare but can happen. Assuming my guess is correct.

The home page appears to be using Smart Sliders, is there a SiteOrigin Slider widget on the page that I’ve missed? If so, please can you direct me to it.

Nope, my mistake. Smart Slider 3!

    Hi, I Work Here

Sometimes, it’s quicker to around a problem than solve it. If you don’t mind using Smart Slider 3 on the problem page we’ve been looking at, that’ll most likely be the quickest fix for this situation.

Yep, already on it. Thank you!
