Hi there,
First of all thanks for all these years of good work with your page builder and widgets.
When adding a SiteOrigin layout block in the page editor it displays twice.
If I try to use the first one by adding something manually or cloning or importing a SiteOrigin layout then:
In the editor I can see the layout
Nothing on the frontend except this message: « You need to add a widget, row, or prebuilt layout before you’ll see anything here. 🙂 »
When refreshing the editor, all is gone
If I use the second one then everything works.
Seems like the first one is some sort of a Ghost.
Maybe a node duplicate by JS or something.
All I can see in the PHP log is this warning:
PHP Warning: Undefined array key "widgets" in /wp-content/plugins/siteorigin-panels/inc/admin.php on line 1427
King regards,
Charles
Hi Charles,
Thanks for getting in touch. The described issue sounds like your website is in “block development mode”, and you’re using an older version of Page Builder. There was a recent WP change that resulted in “development mode” rendering the Layouts Block twice and we’ve since accounted for that in a newer PB release.
Please navigate to DashboardUpdates and click Check Again. If there’s a Page Builder by SiteOrigin update, please update the plugin and check if this issue is still occurring. If it’s not, please navigate to PluginsInstalled Plugins and find Page Builder by SiteOrigin. What version is listed?
Kind regards,
Alex
Hi Alex,
Thanks a lot for your quick response.
You’re insight was spot on: I was running version 2.31.0 and its been fixed in the next minor release.
2.31.1 – 11 December 2024
Layouts Block: Prevented double toolbar when in development mode.
I’ve updated PB to the latest 2.31.3 and it’s working fine now.
Thanks again.
Kind regards,
Chareles
