SiteOrigin Google Map – Not Working

Hey there,

I have got billing on my Google Cloud account, I have updated the API key, the plugin and themes are up to date, I have deactivated all plugins to see if they are conflicting.

The Google map will not work.

There is no error message on the front end at all.

I get a BAD REQUEST in the inspector but I just cannot find what is causing this. I would love some help. Thank you!

    Hi Kelly,

I’ve had a look at the linked page and something else is also attempting to load Google Maps. This is normally okay but due to that attempt being unauthenticated it’s resulting in Google blocking both attempts. I’m not able to identify what is making the second attempt so I recommend disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

You can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

    Kind regards,
    Alex
