SiteOrigin CSS

Firstly, thank you for this great new plug-in. As someone not too familiar with coding, this is a huge help, and I am very excited to use it. My question would be – what happens to this code when a theme is updated? Is the code retained through the update, or would it need to be re-entered?

Thanks for your help.

Jon.

If I understand this properly it is saved in the custom css and which isn’t overwritten when the theme gets updated so it will be retained through the update.

Yes, seems to be saved in the “Custom CSS” menu item the plugin created, so it should be safe from theme updates.. however, if the plugin is deactivated or should ever break, it could mess up the css… I’m going to copy the generated css from the plugin and copy it to my child theme’s css for safe keeping and then delete it from the plugin when completed…

Loving the Vantage Premium theme and so glad I found it! Had to kiss a lot of frogs on the way though :)

Will the custom css be included if I zip the theme and upload to another server?

BTW, I am kinda curious … where is it saved?

      Hi, I Work Here

      Hi mack8891

Thanks for your support. This thread is discussing our Custom CSS specific plugin: Page: SiteOrigin CSS Editor which is an enhanced version of the Custom CSS functionality you’ll find in Vantage Premium.

If you move servers we highly recommend using Duplicator: https://wordpress.org/plugins/duplicator/. It’s an intermediate level plugin but handles our Page Builder content in the best way possible.

The built in Vantage Premium Custom CSS field will move with your site, it’s info is stored in the database.

Hope Duplicator gets the job done for you.

(Please, open a new thread for any further help :) Thanks )
