Site Origin Page Builder Issue

Hello,

I’ve installed the plugin Page Builder by Siteorigin in my theme called Unit a free siteorigin theme on my online site. If i try opening customize theme or open any page to edit, it generates an error “FORBIDDEN: You don’t have permission to access /shop/wp-admin/post.php on this server.” when i deactivate the site origin plugin every thing works well. I also notice that activating the plugin offline everything works fine.

Any help from the forum will be appreciated.
Thanks.

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Utoro,

This sounds like a WordPress permission issue, or a plugin conflict. Do you have a plugin like Wordfence installed? We’re definitely compatible with it but that might be the cause of the issue. Regardless, consider running a plugin conflict test.

Can you try disabling all non-SiteOrigin plugins and see if this fixes the issue? You’ll need to clear all your caches after disabling your plugins.

If it does fix the issue, then try re-enabling your plugins one by one until the issue comes back. This procedure will help diagnose which plugin is causing the issue.

Once we know that, we’ll be able to look at what might be causing the conflict and either solve the problem or help you find an alternative plugin.

If you aren’t using a SiteOrigin theme, then you can also try temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress themes to see if the issue is theme related.

@Alex S, Thanks for the urgent reply, i have uninstalled all the plugins and reinstalled them one by one as suggested, including the siteorigin plugin in the twentyfifteen default theme, it still shows the permission error. when i uninstall only the siteorigin plugin from the default theme (twentyfifteen) or my desired theme (Unit), everything works fine(No permission error).

Is there any work around on getting it fixed or any free site builder i can use?

    Hi, I Work Here

    Hi Utoro,

I suspect this issue stems purely from a permission error then. You need to adjust your permissions overall to resolve this issue. If you would like help in doing this I would recommend contacting your hosting provider as chances are this is due to their security requirements.
