Site origin bundle won’t adjust Header color and indent in corp theme

I’m in the middle of switching 10 totally different sites to Corp – did 2 simple ones that went perfect, now doing a membership one that I need to be able to change color of text and indent on the headers in a few blocks. Corp is hardwired for color and indent and doesn’t seem to allow siteorigin bundle to set either (already tried). What can I do to get this to work? I’m lost, and getting cranky.

    Hi Atdstaff

    Thanks for reaching out.

If possible, please, send a link to a page concerned and let us know which header to check. We’ll do our best to assist from there.

Thanks, Andrew. I created a problem block on the home page so you can see – the one with the bright green background. (in the siteorigin plugin I have the letters set to yellow and the layout bottom margin set to 0 – neither is acknowledged.) Things work fine as long as I stay in paragraph mode, (see the “what you get when you join block”)so that is what I did but wanted certain blocks to really stand out.

Is it possible to put a widget in the header? If so, can paid support lead me through that? [I know I’m not supposed to combine, but I’m in a hurry.]

    Thanks for your reply.

For quicker replies via email, not on the forum and a wider support scope, it would be worthwhile upgrading to SiteOrigin premium.

The heading you’ve created is an h4 heading. The theme adds top and bottom margins to headings. That’s where the bottom margin is coming from. The zero row bottom margin you’ve set is active.

At the moment, there isn’t an easy settings method of centering widget titles. We can, however, assist with a small Custom CSS solution within our premium support scope. We could also offer a Custom CSS rule to resolve the h4 bottom margin challenge. The alternative is to leave the widget title blank and insert the widget title into the content area where you can center it, as you’ve done.

At the moment, it’s possible to insert a widget into the Corp header. What content would you like to insert?

    Thanks so much!

On the heading setting, even in the content area I cannot center the title or set the color (corp ignores both the color and centering settings). I see what corp does – it handles the title the same way whether it is in the title block or in the content block – at some point it’d be nice to handle the title with flexibility in the content block – but leave it hardwired in the title block. I want to go for the custom css rule for both centering and bottom margin challenge – and setting color in headline in content block if possible.

On putting the widget in the header – I had a quick link to the blog on the header picture in the old site, but I already did something I think is working ok in this corp site, at least for this website. I’m getting ready to work on the next one which will be a real pain cause it’s a really busy site, and if I don’t do something I like better I’ll ask about the widget area.

I do want to say though that Corp is amazing in that I can do almost anything I want and i like the way sightorigin programs are put together – I’ve used their pagemaker and widget bundle forever, it seems and now with the theme I’m impressed.

    Thanks for your feedback.

    Widget Titles
On the heading setting, even in the content area I cannot center the title or set the color (corp ignores both the color and centering settings)

Please, could you give me an example of this on your home page or any page and I’ll try to assist from there.

    Header widget area
At the moment, this isn’t possible with Corp but perhaps something we can introduce in the future. It would be possible now if you had a little custom development assistance. http://www.codeable.io is one option if you’d like to hire in the future.

Thanks for your positive feedback, I’m glad to hear you’ve been making progress :) Appreciate it.

I messed with this last night and finally figured out how to get font color and centering for a headline in content area. Using siteorigin page builder the style needs to be coded for centering and font color in the content block. In addition, the font color needs to be chosen in the siteorigin design area. The inability getting a 0 bottom margin is what I’ll need help with now and I’ll follow your advice.

Thanks for the update. For the header with the green background, you already have an inline style tag, you just need to add another declaration, margin-bottom: 0 and it should resolve the challenge there.
