Sharing pages on Facebook – grabs page builder code (FB open graph)

Hi,

When I share a page built with Page Builder on Facebook, the FB share grabs a lot of nasty Page Builder widget code to display in the Facebook share.

I have installed a plugin to control Social Medis Open Graph, which is working, but I thought it was worth mentioning this issue in case there is anything you can do, or another fix which doesn’ invlove installing a special plugin, as our website is drowning in plugins!

    Hi Sally,

    That’s odd. There should be no reason for this to happen unless a plugin is installed that’s incorrectly setting open graph data – Facebook can’t see the base code unless something provides it with the base code. Do you have a public URL where we can take a look at your setup?

    Hi Sally,

    I don’t see anything that jumps out as being the source of this issue. Can you please show me what you see when you previously attempted to share it? I would use the Facebook Open Graph Debugger to test this rather than the trying a proper share.

    Please note that we’re currently unable to process attachments so you’ll need to upload your screenshot to a third party image hosting site like Imgur or vgy.me.
