Hello, i updated the Page Builder on one of my pages today, and site got broken. I deleted the site origin files in content and the site is back. But now i cant install the page builder anymore, im getting this error:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘)’, expecting T_PAAMAYIM_NEKUDOTAYIM in /var/www/vhosts/hytek.mx/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/siteorigin-panels/siteorigin-panels.php on line 70
¿Any tips?
Hi Jorge,
We’re really sorry about this!
This issue is occurring due to your website using an older version of PHP, pre 5.6. We’ve logged this issue and will release a fix asap. In the meantime, you can avoid this issue by either upgrading PHP (you’ll need to reach out to your hosting provider about this – you want to upgrade to at least 5.6) or manually install an older version of SiteOrigin Page Builder.
For the latter, please open your website and navigate to WP AdminPluginsAdd New and upload/activate this version of SiteOrigin Page Builder.
Thanks Alex, i uploaded the older version and we are back. Thanks for everything, this particular page its not in any of my servers (that i have with updated php) so i will contact the hosting provider to ask for an update
Thanks again. Problem Solved!
Hi Jorge
Really glad to hear you were able to recover quickly. So sorry for the hassle. We’ll release a new version tomorrow that’ll have a fix for this problem. (If you can ask your hosts to up your PHP version to 7+, that’ll be great.)
All the best with your site. If anything else pops up, please let us know.
